In this project, students will take on the roles of urban designers, historians, and naturalists as they begin to critically examine the built and natural environments of our local area. Students will take neighborhood walks, examine past/present maps of Ann Arbor, and meet with local experts to learn more about the process and thinking behind land use decisions. This work will be grounded in a partnership with Veridian at County Farm Park, a sustainable housing development right across the street from Summers-Knoll.
